How to Use Pursuit Agent in the Pursuit App
Last updated: October 23, 2026
When to Use This
Use this when you want Pursuit to find Signals, accounts, or contacts by asking in plain language instead of opening each screen yourself.
Before You Start
Know that Research and Plays use credits and ask for your approval before they run
Steps
Log in to Pursuit. Pursuit Agent opens as your home page and greets you by name.
Click a starting point, or type your own request in the chat box. The starting points are today's top Signals, find agencies with a need, find the right contact, contracts expiring soon, an account brief, and researching a list of accounts.
Watch the steps. Pursuit Agent shows each step in plain language as it works.
Open the links in the answer to jump to the Signal, account, contact, or worksheet it found.
Approve or decline when asked. Research and Plays pause at a "Needs your approval" box. Approve to continue, or decline to stop.
Start a new chat when you change topics. Click New chat in the sidebar.
Reopen an earlier conversation from the sidebar.
What Success Looks Like
You get an answer, a list of accounts, or a Research worksheet, with links back to the records in Pursuit.
Common Issues
Problem: Pursuit Agent does not know something you discussed in another chat. Fix: Chats do not share memory. Restate the context in the new chat, or reopen the earlier conversation from the sidebar.
Problem: Pursuit Agent loses details from the start of a long chat. Fix: A conversation remembers its last 30 messages. Start a new chat and restate what matters.
