What is the Pursuit Agent?

Last updated: September 18, 2026

Quick Answer

Pursuit Agent lets you work with your Pursuit data by describing what you want in plain language. You connect Pursuit to an AI assistant such as Claude, then ask it to investigate an account, research a territory, explain a Signal, or change your Radar settings. Pursuit Agent picks the right data sources, runs the work, and links you back to the worksheet or Radar Inbox where the results live.

What This Is

Pursuit Agent is the conversational layer over Pursuit, delivered through the Pursuit MCP server. Instead of opening records one at a time or building a research workflow from scratch, you describe the outcome you want. Pursuit Agent handles the search, filtering, Research, and organization, and asks for confirmation before anything that spends credits or changes your settings.

What It Does

Answers questions about your data

Ask about entities, contacts, companies, territories, and opportunities in plain language. Natural-language filters find the right records without you learning field names, for example "show me Michigan counties with an operating budget over $50 million."

Runs Research at territory scale

Ask Pursuit Agent to research a CRM territory and it builds a worksheet with the results. Example: "Research my Salesforce territory and identify the accounts with the strongest near-term opportunities." Research can draw on web sources, documents in Pursuit, and LLM analysis.

Works your Radar Signals

Review Signals conversationally, ask why one matters, and mark Signals done or save them for later without leaving the conversation. See [How to work through your Radar signals with Pursuit Agent].

Changes your targeting and access settings

Refine Personas and Authority Levels, update your Radar territory and Products, set up Radar with recurring updates and email notifications, and invite teammates if you are an Admin. See [How to update your Radar targeting with Pursuit Agent].

Runs Plays

Trigger a Play from the conversation rather than from the Plays screen.

What It Doesn't Do

Pursuit Agent does not act silently. Anything that spends credits, edits company-wide filters, changes Radar settings, or sends an invitation asks you to confirm first. It also works inside your own permissions: you see only the data your Pursuit account can see, and only Admins can invite users or change company-wide filters.

Next Step

Connect Pursuit to your AI assistant in Using Pursuit with AI Assistants (MCP Integration), then ask your first question.
