How to Filter Account Matching by CRM Fields

Last updated: September 25, 2026

When to Use This

Use this when you want to match one segment of unmatched CRM accounts to Pursuit, such as a territory, an account type, or a size band, instead of every unmatched account at once.

Before You Start

  • CRM sync is connected (HubSpot, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics 365)

  • Admin access in Pursuit

  • The CRM field you want to filter on is available on the Accounts Mapping page

Steps

  1. Click Settings, then Integrations, and open your CRM.

  2. Click Initiate Matching.

  3. Select Match only accounts that meet conditions. To match everything, select Match all unmatched accounts instead and skip to step 7.

  4. Choose a CRM field, such as Account Type.

  5. Choose an operator and a value, such as is Prospect.

  6. Click Add condition to narrow further, such as Employees > 100.

  7. Click Start matching.

  8. Open Data Enrichment to follow the run. Each run lists the filter it used.

Note: This filter controls which CRM accounts Pursuit matches and writes a Pursuit ID back to. It doesn't change the data Pursuit sends to your CRM from Intel or saved searches.

Tip: Match one territory or segment at a time, review the results on Data Enrichment, then run the next segment.

What Success Looks Like

A new run appears on Data Enrichment showing your filter, and matched accounts in that segment carry a Pursuit ID in your CRM.

Common Issues

Problem: The run matched fewer accounts than the segment contains. Fix: Matching only includes unmatched accounts, so accounts already matched are skipped. Pursuit also writes back only matches scored 4 or 5. Review lower scores on Data Enrichment.

Problem: The run matched accounts outside your segment. Fix: Open the run on Data Enrichment and check the listed filter. Adjust the conditions and run again.
