What can I do with Pursuit in Clay?
Last updated: October 9, 2026
Quick Answer
Pursuit data is available inside Clay. From a Clay table you can build lists of US government accounts, check whether public sector contacts are still in their roles, and find buying signals in recent public documents. If you connect your own Pursuit API key, these runs don't use Clay credits.
What This Is
Pursuit is an official Clay data partner. If your team already builds prospecting workflows in Clay, you can add Pursuit's account data, contact verification, and Signals to those tables without exporting anything from Pursuit.
How It Works
Build account lists
Use the Search Pursuit's universe of US government entities source to start a table. Filter by account type, state, name, website, or population. Each row comes back with its Pursuit ID and government identifiers such as FIPS, NCES, and IPEDS.
Example: every county in Ohio with a population over 100,000.
Enrich accounts and contacts
Enrich a public sector account: match a company name and state to a Pursuit account and get its Pursuit ID
Enrich a public sector contact: check whether a contact is still in their role, has moved, or has retired. You get a Confidence Score plus a corrected title, email, and phone.
Find buying signals
Describe what you sell and the signals that matter to you. Pursuit returns recent public documents that match, with a summary and a source link for each. Search across many accounts at once with the Find public sector signals with Pursuit source, or run one search per row with Find public sector signals for an account.
What It Doesn't Do
Clay runs don't change your Radar feed, Research worksheets, or CRM sync settings in Pursuit. Signals found in Clay come from the signal criteria you enter in Clay, not from your Pursuit product profiles.
