Copy Columns from an Existing Research Worksheet

Last updated: February 12, 2026

If you've already set up custom AI Columns or Structured Output columns in one Research Worksheet and want to reuse them in a new one, you don't need to rebuild them from scratch. You can copy column configurations directly from any existing worksheet.

This is especially useful when you want to apply the same custom prompts or enrichment logic to a different set of target entities.

How it works

  1. Open the Research Worksheet you want to add columns to.

  2. Click Columns in the upper-right corner of the worksheet to open the Columns panel.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Columns panel. You'll see an "Add columns from" dropdown with the label Select a Worksheet.

  4. Click the dropdown and choose the worksheet you want to copy columns from. Worksheets are listed by name (if named) or by creation date.

  5. Click Apply.

You'll see a green confirmation banner — "Columns copied: Columns have been copied successfully" — and the copied columns will appear in your worksheet immediately.

What gets copied

When you copy columns from another worksheet, the column definitions are brought over — including AI Column prompts and Structured Output configurations. The columns will appear empty in the new worksheet and will need to be run against your current set of entities.

When to use this

A few common scenarios where this comes in handy:

  • You've built a set of AI research prompts for one territory and want to apply them to a new list of accounts.

  • You want to test the same enrichment columns against a different segment or entity type.

  • A teammate has set up useful columns in their worksheet and you want to replicate their setup.
